My passion is reading to learn. Using a modified and Steiner-ified version of the Reading to Learn program, children discover the world beyond the pages and learn to love reading.

A bit about me…

I have worked with children for over 16 years. I worked in after school programs in Brisbane co-ordinating up to 120 children in one afternoon and childcare programs on Hamilton Island organising activities and doing evening babysitting for guests. Other times I was a private babysitter.

I spent 5 years in Italy, during this time I was a live-in nanny in an Italian/American family in Italy for 3 young boys for over a year. I taught English to Italian primary school students and to adults whose work required a certain level of English.

I taught in a state school in Brisbane for 4 years learning quickly that to make a real impact on the lives of children, we cannot be constrained by certain measures. Small group learning means I can get to know my students better, with time and space that allows for them to really show me their hearts, their curiosities, their own path.

What are my Qualifications?

Bachelor Education (Primary)

Graduate Certificate Steiner Education

TEFL qualified – Teach English as a Foreign Language

Reading to Learn qualified (R2L)
